Reviews and Ratings
Staying in the old Palace building was a great experience - the rooms were large and well laid out. The owners were pleasant and helpful, even going above-and-beyond by delivering my laptop to Northam after I left it behind. The location was excellent, ideal for wandering around town, although a microwave in the room would have been handy. Unfortunately, there were no dining options available at the hotel during our visit, but the freshly squeezed juice was a nice touch.
I had a wonderful stay overall, with great rooms and exceptional service. However, the initial check-in experience was a bit challenging without staff present. The location was perfect with direct access to a veranda, although I missed having a microwave. The hotel surprised me with its charm as an antique shop and its proximity to the York Festival activities. Dining options were not available on-site, but the local products were fresh and worth trying. The beer garden and other facilities were delightful additions to the stay.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The location was convenient and offered super comfy rooms with king-size beds. The dining experience could have been a bit better, but overall, it was a fantastic stay.
